Back in the heady days of the 70s when guitar gear was big, analog and loud, Yamaha released a triple rotary cabinet that was also loaded with 4x12" speakers called the RA-200. It weighed around 90kgs so you had to be committed. Plenty were, especially one Mr David Gilmour who liked to pair it with his amp/s of choice and an Alembic Guitars F-2B Stereo Tube Preamp to drive the swirly sounding behemoth. It was a sound that can be heard on most of the Pink Floyd albums from '75 through at some point or other. Zoran at Dawner Prince has spent the last few years meticulously studying and bottling the tone of both machines and is now offering us the Eclipsa which tonally parks right up next to both the RA-200 and F-2B. And, man, is it fun. My prediction is that the Eclipsa will be the most talked about and coveted rotary sim for the foreseeable future. And deservedly so because it is absolutely outstanding ...and it doesn't weigh much! Features? There are many including full MIDI implementation. 10/10 and I'd give it more if I could.
