Thorens TD-135 Turntable Service and Restoration
BG180 - restoration and service of a Thorens TD-135 turntable. This uses the same E50 motor and drive system as the famous Thorens TD-124. Rebuilt the motor including the sintered bronze bushings, motor mounts, rubber grommets, idler wheel, and lubrication. Also fixed the drooping tonearm counterweight issue. Replaced the start cap and cleaned and waxed the plinth. A fun project for sure.
