500+ HP Audi 200 Quattro 😍 Lovely 5-Cylinder Engine & Turbo Chirping Sound! - Thomas Wandel Onboard

We had the pleasure of filming the legendary 1989 Audi 200 Turbo Quattro owned by German driver Thomas Wandel. We're at the Nürburgring circuit for the Belmot Oldtimer Grand Prix event, where the car competed in the Golden Era Touring Car class. The all-black Audi you see is a tribute to the 200 "Talladega" (in America, it was called the 5000 CS), and that model, modified to the NASCAR specifications of the time, achieved something truly remarkable. The 200, with its 650 hp, achieved an average lap speed of 332 km/h (almost 207 mph). It thus broke the 200 mph barrier. On the straights, it reached over 350 km/h (over 219 mph). In 1985, that time would have been enough for first place on the starting grid. This was a world record for an all-wheel drive vehicle. The 200 you see in the video was built by Mr Wandel using many Audi Sport components. Also equipped with the splendid 2,198 cc 5-cylinder engine and a large KKK28 turbo, the car develops 500 HP and weighs approximately 1,400 kg. The magnificent thing, besides the performance, is the sound of the turbo chirping, a delight for enthusiasts. Ci troviamo sul circuito del Nürburgring per l'evento Belmot Oldtimer Grand Prix dove la vettura ha gareggiato della classe Tourenwagen Golden Ära. L'Audi tutta nera che vedete è un'omaggio alla 200 "Talladega" (in realà in America prese il nome di 5000 CS) e quel modello, modificato con le specifiche Nascar dell'epoca, fece qualcosa di grandioso. La 200, con i suoi 650 hp, raggiunse una media sul giro di 332 km/h (quasi 207 mph). Infranse così la grande barriera delle 200 mph. Sui rettilinei raggiunse oltre 350 km/h (oltre 219 mph). Nel 1985, questo tempo sarebbe stato sufficiente per la prima posizione in griglia di partenza. Questo fu un record mondiale per un veicolo a trazione integrale. La 200 che vedete nel video è stata costruida da Mr Wandel utilizzando molti componenti Audi Sport. Dotata anch'essa dello splendido motore 5-clilindri da 2.198 cc e di un grosso turbo KKK28 l'auto sviluppa 500 Hp e pesa circa 1400 Kg. La cosa magnifica, oltre alle prestazioni, sono il suono del cinguettio del Turbo, una goduria per gli appassionati.
