Launa Lea | Playing Parts | Seattle Community Showcase 2015
A woman working at a shelter must decide whether she'll follow the code of the street one fateful night. Launa Lea teaches writing classes at The Aurora Commons. This space, which is located on the North Aurora Corridor, offers support and hospitality to some of Seattle’s most vulnerable populations. For the past 5 years, she’s had the honor of crafting stories with men and women who are experiencing homelessness, addiction and prostitution along Aurora. -------------------------- The Moth Community Program provides the space, tools and expertise for people to practice the art and craft of personal storytelling. We partner with community organizations, cultural institutions and non-profits to host workshops that inspire confidence and self-reflection and deepen connections within and between communities.
