Sunderland Moments in Time by Sunderland Heritage Centre
Many independent shops remembered in Sunderland Moments in Time, the trams and the buses, the station with its steam trains, many old pubs now long gone. In this Sunderland Heritage Centre video, viewers of a certain age will certainly remember Cowies for cars and motorcycles, and Youngs the Ford dealer in Roker Avenue. Joseph’s for toys, Hills, Blandford Street before any charity shops were there, and then there was Blacketts and Joplings sadly missed by everyone. There’s so many more memories in this video. Don’t forget to tell us your memories from the video.
