DON'T DO E.C. ELIMINATION COMMUNICATION. WHAT I WISH I KNEW BEFORE STARTING E.C. IS IT WORTH IT?

I’m here to tell you why you should not do elimination communication. It doesn’t make potty training easier. It doesn’t mean your baby will be potty trained earlier. You change diapers more often because the baby shouldn’t get used the the feeling of sitting in a wet diaper. You can make potty time as part of the disper changing routine. It’s not potty training it’s communication so you still have to potty train your child. EC is all about the adult/caregiver recognizing hints of communication the baby is giving that they need to pee/poop. Though transitioning from communication and potty training is another step but I think the best book to read for that is “Oh Crap Potty Training” which focuses on just that. You can do EC and potty train earlier or later You can skip EC but still start potty training early before 2 years. Just as doing EC does not guarantee early potty training.
