Stein am Rhein Old Town

Stein am Rhein is a small town west of Lake Constance (Bodensee), in northeastern Switzerland. It’s known for its preserved, half-timbered medieval houses with painted facades (some of which date back to the 15th or 16th century) clustered around the Town Hall Square (Rathausplatz) in the old town. On a hilltop overlooking the town is the Hohenklingen Castle which dates back to the Middle Ages. From our Campsite we decided to walk the 20 minute walk along the banks of the Rhine to eventually cross over the bridge and into the Old Town to marvel at. The Old Town main street is absolutely beautiful with all the fresco style paintings on the buildings. Many buildings, especially around the Town Hall Square, feature vibrant and artistic murals on their facades, depicting both biblical and secular scenes. Music Curtesy of https://www.jamendo.com/
