Several strategic issues to be brought up at the 35th NU Congress were the main topics of discussion in the closing plenary session in the main hall of the Al Falah Ploso Islamic Boarding School. The third plenary session, held behind closed doors from 10:00 a.m. to approximately 1:30 p.m., featured discussions of various commission recommendations, ranging from organizational governance and mining management to community welfare programs. Security at the meeting location was tight. The gate to the plenary area was guarded by Banser (Indonesian Civil Servant) and committee members, while only participants with voting rights were allowed to enter the discussion room.
