18 Trucks Test Their Might at RC Topia | Alder Run | RC ADVENTURES

This day felt like stepping into something I thought only existed in my imagination. A forest full of headlights and laughter. The sound of tires clawing across wet wood and stone. Men standing shoulder to shoulder around the trails and the fire, completely present in the moment. No tension. No division. No outside noise creeping in from the world beyond the trees. Just people being together. The Alder Run has lived in my head for a long time. Long before anyone ever drove it, it was just an idea taking shape out in the woods while I hauled logs, moved rocks, cut trails through the brush, and slowly tried to turn imagination into something real. I never wanted it to feel polished or manufactured. I wanted it to feel discovered… like an old wilderness crossing hidden deep in the forest where every obstacle had a story behind it. Narrow rocky paths. Treasures, Easter Eggs, Mud. Moss. Uneven bridges. Places where one wrong tire placement could send your truck tumbling into the ravine below. And during this event, it finally came alive. Woo Hoo! I watched drivers hold their breath crossing the bridge. I watched grown men grin like kids after making a difficult line. I watched strangers become friends in minutes over broken parts, trail talk, and shared excitement. Every truck that crossed the bridge added something to the story of the place. Tire marks in the mud. Laughter echoing through the trees. Headlights moving through the forest at dusk while everyone gathered around waiting for the next attempt. Standing there quietly in the middle of it all, I realized this was always the dream. Not just filming RC trucks… but creating a place people could step into and actually feel something. A place where the stress of life loosens its grip for a while and all that matters is the next trail, the next obstacle, the next laugh coming from somewhere deeper in the woods. After all these years of RCSparks Studio, seeing RC Topia filled with real people exploring the trails together honestly moved me more than I expected it would. For a few hours, nothing else mattered. And that feeling bordered on bliss. RC Topia was built to be shared. This event proved that. Seeing people explore the trails, tackle the obstacles, laugh around the fire, and become part of this little world honestly meant a lot to me. If you’re passing through Nova Scotia and think you’d enjoy experiencing RC Topia sometime, feel free to reach out. I can’t promise dates or availability, but I’d love to continue opening the trails up for good people who share the same passion for adventure, creativity, and the RC hobby.
