There is a wide range of electronic devices that can operate under the Modbus industrial protocol. This lecture describes its basics and presents a small subset of its functions, allowing you to begin working with such devices. Several dialects of this protocol are known, differing slightly from Modbus RTU in their packet formats; they are not discussed here. On my channel,    / abglazov  , I will demonstrate a Python program that can operate as a master node for this protocol.
