100+ Year Old Photographs of Child Labor and The Way Things Were
All the people in these photographs are now dead. Step back in time to the early 1900s with these photographs by the renowned photographer Lewis Wickes Hine. Thousands of his photos documented child labor practices in the early 20th century United States, and helped to raise awareness of the problem and to muster support for first-of-their-kind child labor laws. Captions for each image have been added based on the information provided by Hine himself. Explore the full collection online at the Library of Congress: https://www.loc.gov/pictures/collecti...
