Movies play at up to 720p. Purchased content with DRM (Digitla Rights Management) restrictions will not playback over VGA because it does not support HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection). Only digital connections like HDMi, DisplayPort, and DVI are compatible with HDCP.
