How to run 32 bit plugins after Catalina: Install MacOS Mojave on an External Drive

Many musicians and creative professionals "broke" their 32-bit plugins after updating to Catalina (and subsequent versions of MacOS). In the process, we lost access to precious resources, and important files. Unfortunately, if you use Time Machine to backup your computer, Catalina changed the file extension so that it's virtually impossible to downgrade your OS and keep your files intact. This tutorial shows you how to load MacOS Mojave (or any older version of MacOS) on an external drive (flash, HDD, or SSD). By doing so, you can load your old files and plugins, use them occasionally, render stems that are OS independent, screenshot your settings so you can use them in updated plugins and software, and transition to newer versions of MacOS at your own pace while retaining important aspects of your creative archive.
