The drama "Shōjiki Fudōsan" (Honest Real Estate), which aired on NHK for two seasons starting in 2022 and garnered significant attention as a socially conscious comedy, is now coming to the big screen as the film "Shōjiki Fudōsan." The film depicts the struggles of Nagase Zaichi, a real estate agent played by Yamashita Tomohisa, who, whenever he tries to lie, is struck by a strong wind that forces him to speak only the truth. Armed only with honesty and integrity, he navigates the cutthroat world of real estate. In the film version, Kiriyama Takahisa (Ichihara Hayato), a former colleague and real estate broker, plans a large-scale development in his hometown. Faced with unscrupulous land speculation orchestrated by a rival company, Nagase uses his honesty as his weapon to protect the smiles of the people and the future of the town. Debuted as a television director with "Long Love Letter ~Drifting Classroom~" (2002).
