Quick Guide: Patient Admission, Treatment Documentation, and Billing in tomedo® Create a patient file: Click on the patient's existing appointment in the calendar. The data already entered when scheduling the appointment will be displayed. For patients with statutory health insurance (GKV), the next step would be to import the electronic health card (eGK) and create a new patient. For private patients or patients without an electronic health card (eGK), you can create a new patient directly from the calendar. You can access the patient details directly from the calendar by creating a new patient. Add patient details: Add any missing information (e.g., health insurance provider, rate plan) manually in the lower window. Create a visit in the right-hand area to record the patient during the consultation. For private patients, you can also create a new invoice directly here as a starting point for entering the service numbers. The visit details (doctor, time) are usually already prepopulated from the calendar information. Enter to-dos: Enter the necessary treatment steps as to-dos (e.g., "Urine sample," "Doctor's consultation"). It is possible to link to-dos to the appointment type. Change to-do status and patients in the lab: After creating to-dos, the patient appears in the daily list. To mark the patient in the lab, the employee drags the associated to-do to the "current" status. Double-clicking the patient or using Command K (keyboard shortcut) or the toolbar icon opens the patient file. Document and bill the test: Document the lab test in the file. Use the command line (e.g., the entry's shortcut) to enter the necessary information. Predefined action chains can automatically suggest the billing codes. Confirm the codes for automated billing. After completing the examination, the staff member sets the to-do status to "completed." Patients in the doctor's office: The person who brings the patient to the doctor's office sets the corresponding to-do to "current." Select the doctor's office from the displayed selection. Doctor's consultation and documentation: Document the doctor's consultation in the file using the command line (e.g., the abbreviation "Ana" for anamnesis) or use text modules (marked with special characters). Alternatively, you can store frequently used entries and forms in the toolbar. Billing can be done separately (via the command line with numbers and spaces for multiple numbers, the GOÄ catalog, or the favorites list). Referral and sick note: If necessary, create a referral (using pre-defined templates) and a sick note. Schedule a follow-up appointment: A new to-do in the daily list or in the patient file ("upcoming") reminds you to schedule a follow-up appointment. The appointment information from the previous appointment can be copied and imported into the appointment search to create a new appointment. Processing a to-do: A to-do can be completed by clicking the check mark at the top. This is an alternative to moving it in the daily list.
