Mexico Work-Cation: Grand Velas, Tulum Ruins, and my new manifestation book on Amazon.

We spent four nights and five days in Mexico on what we lovingly called a “work-cation.” My husband was invited to speak at a company’s annual event for over 500 people — he’s an inspirational keynote speaker — and when someone says “five-star, all-inclusive resort,” you don’t stay home. We stayed at Grand Velas Riviera Maya in Playa del Carmen, and it was giving total White Lotus vibes — beautiful architecture, warm scented towels, champagne on arrival, a staff that anticipates what you want before you ask, and food that makes you rethink hotel dining forever. Truly five stars and fully bougie. In between the resort life, we explored more of the Riviera Maya. We visited the Tulum Ruins — one of the last major cities built by the Maya, perched on a cliff over the Caribbean — and then ventured into a protected Maya village where we zip lined through the rain, kayaked, swam in underground rivers, and shared an authentic Maya meal prepared for us. It was cultural, adventurous, and one of my favorite days ever. And the timing of this trip couldn’t have been better. I had just launched my first book and this felt like the perfect little celebration baked into real life. I even packed a few copies in my suitcase to give to the event organizers. A lot of the guests ended up ordering it on the spot and were excited to have it waiting in their mailbox when they got home. It was one of those pinch-me moments, a dream realized. I had just launched my first book, so honestly the timing of this trip was perfect. A little work, a little bougie celebration. I brought a few copies with me to gift to the event organizers — some of the women immediately ordered it and were excited to come home to their copies. It felt surreal in the best way.
