Women in Tech 2014 | Panel 1
On January 21st, we heard from two panels made up of women in technology and female entrepreneurs at a Women In Tech event at the Streaming Cafe in Kelowna. We asked why the panel got into tech, the challenges they have faced, the opportunities that have come out of it, plus created a general discussion around how we can get more females into the technology industry. Laurel Douglas, CEO at Women’s Enterprise Centre, moderated. The first panel was made up of these inspiring entrepreneurs: Kristin Garn – Founder and CEO of Mathtoons Media Janice Taylor – CEO Just Be Friends Kids Network Alison Yesilcimen – CEO & Co-Founder at Media Cooler Innovations Inc.
