Today I reviewed the all new 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera S (992)! It wouldn't have been possible without my friends over at The Collection in Coral Gables, FL! Phone Number: 305-444-5555 On to the car, and what a beauty it is! Exterior ------------------------------------- First and foremost, I absolutely LOVE the 2020 992. I am a huge fan of aggressive looks on cars, and this Porsche has exactly that! The wider body, although it makes the car bigger, it gives it a great road presence! The front and rear bumper redesign is the best face-lift the 911 has received. My favorite being the new rear of the car with the new led light brake strip. Since that brake strip was introduced on the Panamera, I thought to myself "they should definitely add this to the 911"! The door handle is also a new design which I think flows better with the body of the car as it doesn't stick out like the older model. Interior --------------------------------------- It feels like the entire interior was redesigned. The new dash is so simple, yet stunning. All of the material feels firm, I didn't hear any squeaks coming from the interior as I rummaged through, closed the doors, or moved the seats. The front seats were very comfortable yet hugged your lower back just enough so you felt secure. The only downside that I saw was the rear seats. The only people that would be able to fit in those rear seats are young children that are less than 10 years old. At least with my driving position, there was no way I would fit in the rear seat behind the driver. Storage ---------------------------------------------- Storage is not too bad, but maybe that's just coming from me since I own a Camaro and I am used to not having so much storage space. They changed the design of the interior of the doors so the driver and passengers could fit a bigger drink container. The glove compartment is big enough to fit your essentials and even a medium size purse. As far as the frunk storage space goes, I think 4.6 squared feet of storage space is not too bad as you could definitely fit a few bags with your essentials. One thing I didn't mention in the video is that the rear seats fold down, and by doing this, it gives you access to a bit more storage space where you could definitely fit a large luggage, and even a golf bag. Engine and Performance ---------------------------------------------- The engine is a Twin-Turbo 3.0 Liter flat six from Porsche which pushes 379 HP and 331 lb-ft of torque to the Carrera Base model. The Carrera S like the one in this video, has 443 HP and 390 lb-ft of torque. The only difference between the two engines is the turbos that are used on each platform. 0-60 times for the Base Carrera is 4.0 seconds but if you get the Chrono Package, the goes down a bit to 3.8 seconds. The Carrera S does 0-60 in 3.5 seconds but as some other test have shown, the times are a bit conservative as those other tests have reached 60 in 3 seconds flat. Quarter Mile times come in at 11.3 seconds at 125 MPH. All in all, I think the new 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera (992) is a great sub 100k drivers car! It has all the gadgets, the looks, and the power!
