The Life and Sad End of Karlheinz Böhm Karlheinz Böhm (March 16, 1928 – May 29, 2014) was an Austrian-German actor and philanthropist. He appeared in 45 films and became known in Austria and Germany for his role as Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria in the Sissi film trilogy and internationally for his role as Mark, the psychopathic protagonist of "Peeping Tom," directed by Michael Powell. 1] He founded the "Menschen für Menschen" foundation, which helps people in need in Ethiopia. In 2003, he was also awarded honorary Ethiopian citizenship.
