Note: In March 2015, the European Commission issued preliminary guidelines for the interpretation of the new EU Regulation (EC) No 165/2014. These guidelines state, among other things: "Scheduled weekly or daily rest periods may, but do not have to, be recorded retroactively. When reviewing the tachograph records of the last 28 days, regular gaps in the recordings are to be inferred as legitimate daily/weekly rest periods."
