Tube Drive Tube Testing pair of TV-7 - Keeley 12AX7
For the upcoming Keeley Tube Drive pedal I wanted to burn in and test each PSVane tube that we got from Mike @EHX. Craighton Hale designed a tube incubator which is akin to 5 Tube Drive pedals in series. We aspire to have ten 5-pack incubators. Fifty tubes at a time will burn in for 24 hours. I have two TV-7 testers to enable faster testing of each half of the twin triode. One machine set up to analyze triode 1 and the other triode 2. I mark each triode’s rating with a permanent marker on a Kapton high-temp sticker. The sticker is placed opposite the Keeley logo. Eventually a tube will get mated with a pedal and then will undergo further testing as a whole unit. A second, smaller burn in time will ensue and then a final auditory test of each dual overdrive pedal. New release date —September 1st!
