Ibex 450 / 450MT GPS Mount and Wiring - Garmin Zumo XT

HOW TO video showing how I installed a Garmin Zumo XT GPS on a Ibex 450 / 450MT One detail I didn't cover in this video is how to remove the TFT Display to route my wiring so it was hidden from view. Here's the details on that: One method is sketchy because you risk dropping hardware behind the display, into the space behind the headlight. You can pull the windscreen and access the two top bolts with a 1/4" extension and 10mm socket. There's a high probability of dropping the nuts and washers behind the headlight. Ask me how I know - it happened to me! The center nut is hard to get to unless you have a swivel attachment for your 1/4" drive ratchet tools. Again, high probability of dropping hardware. The easy access, but very time consuming method is to remove the side panels, part of the tank shrouds/fairings (and crash bars if you have them) so you can access the hardware holding the headlight in place. Remove the headlight, then you can easily get to the nuts holding the display in place. I'm sure that's what I did when I installed my GPS mount and wiring last summer when I made this video. That's the only way I was able to get the Garmin Zumo XT (or XT2/XT3) plug down through the gap above the display, for clean wiring routing.
