Igor di Carlo is an ophthalmologist with more than 25,000 cataract and refractive surgery procedures (excimer laser and ICL), corneal transplants, keratoconus correction, and eyelid surgery. He is the owner of the Dr. Igor di Carlo Eye Clinic, with its three locations in the upper and lower Canavese area and in central Turin. He is head of the ophthalmology division at the Policlinico San Luca in Turin. He is a member of the Swiss Society of Ophthalmology, the Italian Ophthalmological Society, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He has spoken at more than 150 national and international conferences. He is passionate about technology and information technology applied to ophthalmology and has always been a keen Apple user. He is a reader of philosophy and psychology and has explored the doctor-patient relationship in the social evolution of the IT world.
