Scrap Yard Toyota FJ40 Saved Before Getting Crushed (Ode to Simon Fordman) #automobile #landcruiser
(Viewer Note- This is a No Commentary Video) I’m not a stranger to buying Old Land Cruisers from junkyards. It’s a rarity to find one in these yards but it does happen. This one came into my view one Friday afternoon with the description that she was getting crush on Monday. Of Course I didn’t want that to happen... A few hours later I had it on the back of my trailer. It was a lot worse than I thought from the few pictures I saw. Which is usually a given with most old cars we think we need. Something about this Fj40 told me to save it. So that’s what we did. Lots of work later she was able to see the road again. This video is a little different than my normal arrangements and was inspired by the YouTube sensation Simon Fordman. I knew when I saw this truck it would be the perfect platform to try to make a Simon no commentary video. As a youtuber making content it’s a given to watch other channels cultivating similar passions. Simon’s work struck differently the first time I saw it. A work of art with incredible camera work behind his mechanical knowledge. I already knew by watching his videos that they were probably very difficult to make. It’s easy to say you can make a video like that until you do it. Between editing and filming this was one of the harder videos I have ever put together. Simon, thanks for the inspiration to make a film similar to yours. Your work doesn’t go unnoticed! Enjoy my ode to Simon Fordman.
