The Hyde Park Blast 2026 marked my first criterium in the Cat 3 field, and it was a completely different level of racing. The speed was higher, the attacks were harder, and every mistake mattered. Looking back, I simply didn't have the fitness I needed to race the way I wanted to. To make matters even more frustrating, the race wasn't just physically demanding. Tight corners, inconsistent lines, and riders making unpredictable moves made positioning even more difficult than it needed to be.
