Jerry DeWitt on his transition from Pastor to Atheist - Arkansas Society of Freethinkers

Jerry discusses the events that inspired him to become a pastor, when he was 17 years old, and what happened 25 years later, that cause him to leave that profession, and become an atheist. He explains why it is difficult for those pastors, who no longer believe in the supernatural, to walk away from that profession, describing the turbulence in his own life that came with leaving the church, and coming out as an atheist. Jerry joined the Clergy Project in May, 2011, and is the executive director of Recovering from Religion.
