Piglet acquires a 92 Squadron engine for the Steam Gala. This week it’s full steam ahead for North Yorkshire Moors Railway’s Autumn Steam Gala. The event needs a show-stopping centerpiece, they’re hoping to bag an amazing visiting loco as a 'celebrity guest'. Engine shed boss Piglet heads off to the Nene Valley Railway in Cambridgeshire to scope out the 92 Squadron engine. This observational documentary series follows a tireless army of staff and volunteers as they give us the inside track on what it takes to run a heritage railway. This year they’re celebrating their 50th anniversary and we join them as they welcome coach trips, wedding parties and train spotters alike in what they hope will be the railway’s busiest year yet.
