The dance was held in the Ngaio town hall, Wellington, New Zealand. The MC was club tutor Catherine McCutcheon. Music was by Jason Morris, Hilary Ferral and Shane Rempala. Dame Margaret Sparrow, DNZM, MBE, has spent more than 70 years working in the field of women’s reproductive health . She graduated as a doctor from Otago Medical School in 1963, was a visiting venereologist at Wellington Hospital for some years and has published several books on the history of abortion law reform in New Zealand. In 2020 she was named Senior New Zealander of the Year. Dame Margaret has also been a keen Scottish country dancer for many years. Her photo on the title screen is from a dance video taken in 2014.
