Eminent ecologist, Jerry Tallowin, addresses a frequently asked question 'What is a Meadow? Jerry is a grassland ecologist with extensive experience in the maintenance and restoration of grassland biodiversity in the UK and Europe. Before retirement, he conducted research on these topics and remains an Emeritus Research Scientist at Rothamsted Research North Wyke. Following Jerry’s talk, Lisa Schneidau and Jack Rivers both give a short introduction to The Big Devon Meadows Count, a Moor Meadows and Devon Biodiversity Records Centre joint project for 2025.
