OTTB Retraining - HARVEY - Starting Point & Developing Contact- JEDS Equine Vlog

Here is the first video of OTTB Harvey, he is a client's horse that has come to me for some retraining. He has had some schooling since coming off the track, so he isn't 100% fresh, however he has had no professional help. The young girl that rides his struggles with getting a contact and bending him. Also there is difficulty with his canter strike offs. You'll see at the beginning of the video I just ride him around and don't ask him to work in a frame etc, I just want to ride around the track and try to make some circles and changes of rein to get a feel for his strengths and weaknesses and what we need to work on.
