Unlocking F-111 Aardvark | Metal Storm

One of the most iconic and versatile aircraft ever built. A fusion of speed, range, and precision strike capability, the F-111 redefined what a tactical bomber could do. With its swing-wing design, afterburning turbofan engines, and terrain-following radar, the Aardvark could fly at Mach 2.5 and skim just above the ground at over 500 knots, day or night, rain or shine. Built for deep interdiction and long-range strike missions, it could carry a massive payload of bombs, guided munitions, or even nuclear ordnance — making it a cornerstone of Cold War air power. Although never a dedicated interceptor, the F-111’s long-range radar, air-to-air missile capability, and two-person crew gave it credible defensive power. The later F-111F variant introduced advanced avionics and precision strike weapons, while the EF-111A Raven took electronic warfare to a new level — suppressing enemy radars and clearing the way for allied forces. #F111 #Aardvark #GeneralDynamics #MilitaryAviation #ColdWarJets #F111Aardvark #USAF #FighterJet #AviationHistory #StrikeAircraft #SupersonicJet #EF111 #TacticalBomber #MetalStorm #AircraftLegends #JetPower
