In this video essay I talk about Guru Dutt and his penultimate film Pyaasa, a tragic epic of a forlorn poets struggle to speak about the injustices surrounding him. Specifically in, this video I look at camera techniques and editing and the ways they helped to elevating this genre blending titan into a masterpiece.
