He encountered Zen practice in the early 1980s, when, as a member of a paratheatrical group operating at Warsaw's Stara Prochownia, he participated in Zen workshops there. However, he resumed actual practice a few years later. After a difficult period of searching, he found his way to the Warsaw Zen Center and recognized his teacher in Zen Master Seung Sahn. For several years, he served as chairman of the Dharma Teachers' Circle. He also mentored a group of prisoners interested in Zen practice in Wołów, near Wrocław. His training was primarily associated with the Main Temple in Warsaw-Falenica. After fourteen years of practice, on March 5, 2000, he received inka (teaching permission) from Zen Master Wu Bong. In March 2016, he received dharma transmission from Zen Master Dae Kwang Sunim and the title of Zen Master. He currently serves as a Leading Teacher in Lithuania, Toruń, and Gdańsk, as well as at the Wu Bong Sa Main Temple in Warsaw.
