In this video, I show how to use estimation of mathematical results in everyday situations and while solving exercises. I explain methods for rounding numbers to tens, hundreds, and thousands depending on the needs or context of the task, in order to simplify mental calculations. We practice estimation in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, and we analyze when to choose less precise approximations and how to judge which numbers are “closer” to a round value. I demonstrate step by step how to simplify operations such as 15348 + 3748, 358 × 37, or 632 ÷ 23 by using estimation as a quick and practical technique for solving mathematical problems.
