Roland TR-505 Teardown
I take apart the classic Roland TR-505 rhythm composer and discuss it's internal architecture. This machine has 16 different 8-bit PCM encoded sounds which uses a clever method of multiplexing / demultiplexing through a basic resistor ladder DAC which allows up to 8 sounds to be played at once.
