Mekshift Snowskates Quiver

This one, this one, this one. This one right here, this one right here! So Cool! This snowskate collection right here! Mekshift Snowskates has been putting together one of a kind DIY style Snowskates for about 4 years. The very first Mekshift Snowskates were ridden at Powder Mountain ski resort in Utah. A snowskate was built using a kids snowboard on the bottom for the Sub Deck. There is no memory of how or when the kids snowboard was acquired or why. Somehow this snowskate was decided to be built. It used wood blocks as the trucks and the screws to mount the snowboard went all the way through the board. If you look at Mekshift Snowskates very first Instagram posts you can see pictures of this board in its original form(after shape was trimmed). When this snowskate was first built it was mostly uncontrollable on its edges because the width of the snowboard was nearly the same as the skateboard deck on top or maybe even wider than it. I knew what the problem was but didn’t dare to take the edges off until talking with the owner of the split board shop. He confirmed that the raw base wide would be rideable. After that I went into the cat shop(I was working at powder mountain) and trimmed 2.5 inches off each side of the board. The results were amazing and the rest is history.
