Hard Push For Not A Lot

I grew up in hard times, had a hard childhood, lived in a poor family, and was part of poverty/low-income statistics of the 1980s. It was not a "decade of greed" for me. My younger life is loosely depicted in the song, with one exception: I've never owned a truck. I've always wanted one, but never had the opportunity or the means to own one.
