Complex Hipped Roof Construction in Sketchup

Want to construct a complex roof? This video shows you step by step how to make a realistic and clean complex roof. This particular video shows a hipped roof. Here I demonstrate how I would do a complex hipped roof on a house in Sketchup. There are other ways people have in going about it but this is the way I'm sure it is right every time. At the beginning of the video, I show a few common errors that are numerous across the 3D Warehouse and what they consist of. No insults intended but there are more errors than not in the Warehouse so I figured it was an addressable issue and the examples to show you what I mean. Roofing isn't necissarily hard per say but the video shows that it is a tedious process especially for complex houses such as the one in the video. It is really easy to make a mistake anywhere when making a complex roof. Also the video shows that there is a bunch of touch-ups galore! Most of us are lazy so even if their roofs are good, they don't always seem to be reconciled well with the house in which this video shows in detail near the end.
