This was our first time in Sonamarg, and what a place it was! It shows you both the greenery of Kashmir and the dryness of Ladakh. Its the gateway town between Srinagar and Leh. Day 1 - We took a cab and went for the car tour covering zero point, zojila pass, till the coldest place of India - Drass where we took a visit to the Kargil War Memorial and paid our respects to our brave martyrs. Day 2- We went for the short trek to Thajiwas Glacier. WHAT A PLACE! You have to watch it to know it! A reasonable price would be 3500-4000 for Zero Point and 5500-6000 till Drass. I would highly recommend you go to Drass, as its a totally different sight!
