Meteorite Hunting — Finding a Real Meteorite in the Wild

In this video I head into northern Sweden to dig for a genuine Muonionalusta meteorite, a rare iron meteorite that fell over a million years ago, near the Arctic Circle. No talking, just digging, drone footage, and the quiet of the Swedish landscape. This one wasn't easy. Six hours of digging on a cold, wet day, with a huge boulder sitting right on top of the hole that we had to remove before we could reach the meteorite. After recovering the fragment, we refilled the hole with the same soil and replaced the vegetation on top — leaving the site almost exactly as we found it. The Muonionalusta is a fine octahedrite (IVA) iron meteorite, known for its striking Widmanstätten pattern, crisscrossing crystalline lines formed by extremely slow cooling in space over millions of years. 🌑 Genuine Muonionalusta fragments and meteorite jewelry are available on my website: 👉 https://www.meteoritejewelry.shop ⏱️ Filmed in Norrbotten, northern Sweden.
