It took eight months to build using only spare time, but a fully programmable, near life-size ABB robot made out of LEGO bricks is a spectacular thing to behold. Yes, in this age of limited attention spans and virality-driven media perhaps it's cool enough that a near life-size industrial robot has been recreated in LEGO bricks, but there's so much more behind this story that it would be sad if it stopped there.
