Creating Slow Stitched Journal Wraps with Beth Maitland

A small project using scraps of vintage laces, the edge of vintage serviettes (but any base fabric would do) and some hand stitching with embellishments and embroidery, makes a beautiful wrap for a journal, as a gift, or for your own notes and thoughts, this is a very achievable project with big impact. Slow Stitching is the use of all hand sewing techniques from around the world and across time, using repurposed textiles, specialty threads and laces, vintage needlework, collected buttons, charms, found and gathered items all stitched together to create new beautiful art pieces that honor the work of the original makers. It is a practice that focuses on creativity to manage stress and anxiety, and to work with your hands as a meditation. @BethMaitlandDramaQueenBeeUnltd on YouTube Instagram: @dramaqueenbeequilts Facebook: DramaQueenBee Quilts www.DramaQueenBeeQuilts.com Etsy: DramaQueenBee.etsy.com
