The SM6, Renault Samsung’s flagship(?) and only sedan model, has returned with a facelift. The changes to the engine are more prominent than the visible parts. The 2.0 naturally aspirated gasoline engine and 1.6 turbo gasoline engine have been abandoned, and the heart of the car has been changed to 1.3 turbo gasoline and 1.8 turbo gasoline engines. The 1.8 turbo gasoline engine is fitted to the model that has started sales under the name TCe 300. They have taken the output of the high-performance engine used in fairly "spicy" models like the Renault Alpine and RS and fitted it in with slight adjustments. It feels like a reasonably well-made sports sedan for the working class. Has the rear suspension structure, which used to be a torsion beam, changed? No. It remains the same, but they have removed a peculiar part called the AM link and extensively changed and improved the fundamentals of the suspension. So, the rear wheels are still torsion beams—and you can feel that if you drive a bit hard on rough roads—but the ride comfort is definitely better than before.
