Pilates | Cosas de chicas: Episodio 34
Have you ever practiced Pilates? In case you didn't know, it's a method of exercise and physical movement designed to strengthen the body. In this new episode, the kids participated in a class that made them sweat, cry, and discover they're braver than they thought. In the company of their newest member, a handsome boy named Sebastian, they embarked on their journey toward a new adventure blindfolded. Instructor Adolfo Chacón introduced them to the Reformer, the machine they would be working on during this session. And yes, Edson was right—they look just like the machines that appear in cartoons to lengthen the characters. 2:06 Warm-up You always have to prepare before doing any exercise, so they were asked to place their toes on the Reformer bar, stretch their hands out to the sides, and watch their breathing with each movement. 2:55 Exercise 1: Hundred It didn't sound so difficult when they were told to hold the dumbbells with their thumbs, keep their feet extended vertically, and swing up and down. However, once they experienced it, they discovered it was painful and very exhausting. Some got tired, but others felt their abs were showing. 4:14 Exercise 2: Twist After the instructions were given and Edson had his moment to sing "Strong Men in Action," the real nightmare began. They had to keep their backs straight and lower themselves slowly, as if they were doing sit-ups. Although they complained of fatigue, the instructor ignored it and continued with the class. 5:26 Exercise 3: Short Box Stretch This consists of crossing your arms over your chest, sitting on a bench, and lowering and raising them slowly. It was so painful that they felt like their love handles were disappearing. 6:41 Exercise 4: Lunges Like traditional lunges, the boys had to move one leg and then the other, with the only difference being that these were done on the reformer. 7:12 Exercise 5: Squats This exercise was simple but very tiring because they had to keep their backs straight and raise and lower their toes. Edson almost fell; Saúl cried, sweated, and suffered; Sebas had a rough welcome; Leo was enjoying it; David seemed like an expert; and Lalo ended up very tired. In the end, they celebrated how well they did and challenged other boys to Pilates, which, although considered a women's exercise, is more complicated than it seems. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our social media: Facebook - / okchicasblog Instagram - / okchicas Pinterest - https://www.pinterest.com.mx/okchicas/ Twitter - / okchicasoficial Website - https://www.okchicas.com CONTACT - [email protected] ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
