Freddie Spencer 1985 French Gran Prix
This is footage from the 1985 French Gran Prix when Freddie Spencer won both the 500cc and 250cc races at LeMans. Freddie would eventually win the World Championship in both the 500cc and 250cc becoming the only racer in the history to accomplish this feat. I was working at KSLA-TV in Freddie's hometown, Shreveport, Louisiana. Longtime KSLA Sports Director Bob Griffin and I made the trip to LeMans to follow Fast Freddie because of his chase of the double World Championship. Great week...Thanks Freddie!
