The first Sino-Japanese war of 1894-1895 occurred because of the Qing dynasty of China and the Empire of Japan fighting for influence over the Joseon dynasty of Korea. ➡️ The First Sino-Japanese War is an event rarely covered, yet it’s one of the most important events in regards to the Pacific War. ➡️ Many historic figures had roles to play in the First Sino-Japanese war such as King Gojong, Kim Oky-gyun, Yuan Shikai and the Daewongun.
