At the time of the incident, traffic in the area was relatively light. The cement truck driven by Jasman was also hit from behind, sustaining damage to the left side of the vehicle. Realizing the dangerous situation, Jasman attempted to steer his vehicle to the left side of the road to avoid further damage.
