The Viennese psychiatrist and neuroscientist Raphael Bonelli is a devout Catholic, a prominent author of bestselling books on psychotherapy, and gained even wider recognition for his de-escalating role during the COVID-19 pandemic. We wanted to know from him what role repentance and forgiveness play in restoring peace, both within small circles and in society at large. Raphael Bonelli and his entire family were guests of the Catholic Family Association in the Diocese of Augsburg on March 14, 2026, and we were grateful to be able to use the lunch break for an interview.
