"Inclusive AI Systems for Mobile Everyday Support" This talk explores how inclusive AI systems can support everyday activities by combining edge AI on mobile devices with locally deployed cloud components. This hybrid approach enables low-latency, privacy-preserving, and reliable assistance while still allowing more complex processing when needed. The focus is on how such systems can be designed to be accessible, robust, and practical for real-world use. I will also include a short live demonstration to illustrate how these concepts translate into everyday support scenarios. Fabian Glöggler is a research associate at Ulm University of Applied Sciences (THU) in Germany. He works on edge AI, computer vision, and neural networks. Currently, he is part of the MIKE project, where the team develops AI systems that run directly on mobile devices such as smartphones and smart glasses to support people with disabilities.
