But knowing it and actually using it in a real bakery, to a real waiter, or when someone is looking at you and waiting for you to respond… those are two very different things. In this video, I walk you through six situations you will absolutely face in France: the boulangerie, the café, paying the bill, asking for directions, ordering at a restaurant, and saying goodbye. For each one, I give you the phrases that you’ll actually need in those situations, and we’ll say them together, out loud. By the end, these phrases should live in your mouth, not just on a page. You don't need fluency for a wonderful trip to France. You need about 18 sentences, said enough times that they come out on their own. Let's practice them right now.
